When you order a fresh CLEAN batch of ARIN (U.S.) based residential IP addresses, you will not have to wait for a GEO DB update. However, you will still have to wait for the new announcement to propagate across the internet, similar to a GEO update on a RIPE range to some degree. It takes time for the different internet databases to propagate the range as residential in their systems. This will timeline vary, as we do not control this process. Most will update within a week or two, except for IP2Location which only updates on the last day of the month.
What does this mean for you?
Well, not all websites use IP2Location, as many run off of MaxMind or secondary databases. We do not know who all runs off what, and that is something more so for you to know. However, if you keep trying to actively use your ranges before propagation, you will get them throttled or blocked. When this happens, you will not only NOT get a refund, swap out, or credit. But failure to keep a 6 month term commitment on a CLEAN IP allocation will put any other services you have at risk. We warn repeatedly on these things, so there is no shortage of notice.
That being said, if you do not know how to check these things yourself, you will need to open a support ticket with the TECH SUPPORT team and they can provide you screenshots of what to look for. You should NEVER be trying to actively use a range before it has propagated. Instead, you should be checking the DB's every few days (not every day, not every hour or you will raise red flags on your ranges as no normal customer would be doing this behavior). It comes down to using some degree of common sense as the goal is to stay off the radar and look like a home user.
